The Compliance Analyst will assist with internal risk programs and will externally communicate with Coinbase banking partners and regulators. This individual will work to complete reviews of high risk businesses and make recommendations to business lines for onboarding. Working knowledge of cryptocurrencies, associated money laundering risks, and staying updated with industry changes will be important to undertake day-to-day activities.
  • Own external reporting to financial partnerships
  • Manage and maintain financial partnerships through ad-hoc inquiries
  • Stay in tuned with the evolving crypto ecosystem and assist in onboarding business clients and policy development/implementation
  • Partner cross-functionally with other Coinbase Teams to deliver projects
  • Work with High Risk Onboarding team to review high risk businesses applying to use platform
  • Support Compliance Leadership with project management and program development

  • BS/BA degree
  • 2 years of relevant experience in risk (compliance/fraud), management consulting
  • Must have strong interest and working knowledge of cryptocurrencies
  • Understanding of BSA/AML rules and regulations
  • Excellent external and internal communication skills
  • Strong analytical & critical reasoning skills
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments and learn quickly
  • Embodies Coinbase values and excited about the mission

  • Securities or broker/dealer experience
  • Experience in financial services and/or consumer Internet, especially if focused on digital currency
