Job Description

Blockchain Developers, the leading blockchain recruiting agency, is seeking a Distributed Systems Engineer for our client, an exciting, well-funded company that is disrupting the consumer credit world. We are creating both a new blockchain platform and the surrounding ecosystem of applications. You may work on one or both sides of the business and interact directly with industry partners.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Construct utilities such as monitoring utilities, debugging utilities, for checking and analyzing transactions, tools for exploring the blockchain
  • Use careful test-driven development and acceptance testing to develop systems and libraries with minimal fault tolerance and robust external interfaces
  • Maintain a well-tested codebase with continuous integration and coverage reporting
  • Help construct API gateways and trade off strategies for assembling on and off-chain communication between multiple peers

Must Have:

  • 2+ years experience in peer-to-peer protocol development, familiarity with the ethereum blockchain
  • Ability to build and maintain highly available infrastructure
  • Solid background in networking, relational databases, operating systems, and programming language design
  • Knowledge of peer-to-peer distributed system design and implementation, with practical knowledge in a production setting
  • Recent history of contribution to open-source projects with Github or other repositories
  • Daily growing knowledge of blockchain technology

Strongly Prefer

  • Experience in blockchain development (e.g., ethereum, solidity, truffle, bitcoin contracts, etc.)
  • Previous experience in FinTech, including fraud, payments and credit
  • Background in security-oriented system design, with a focus on applied cryptography
  • Design experience around potential attack vectors at the network level, especially with encryption vulnerabilities
