As the Marketing Director, you are in charge of building Marketing from the ground up to capture the enthusiasm of the cryptocurrency market. You will own all B2C demand generation marketing vision and strategy. You will strategically plan all digital marketing and demand generation projects and work cross-functionally to help Gem meet marketing, acquisition, public relations, and revenue goals. And on a personal level, you are a fan and investor in cryptocurrency and now it's time to turn your hobby into a career.
What you'll do:
- Plan, lead and measure marketing demand generation activities that increase product awareness and acquire new users to the consumer application
- Partner cross functionally to understand what we are building, why we are building it, to create targeted marketing campaigns
- Take a highly analytical approach to measuring performance and turn insights into actionable plans
- Dive deep into the cryptocurrency community to understand their needs and how to best reach them
- Work closely with Business Development to maximize their effectiveness through presentation materials, sales collateral, and events
- Execute community building marketing strategies to obtain the necessary metrics in a timely manner.
- Team up with our Chief Communications Officer (CCO) to implement a content marketing strategy
- Work with our CCO on events/conferences marketing strategy. The blockchain/cryptocurrency space is chock full of conferences. The marketing director must team up with the CCO to strategically and tactically leverage these events for maximum visibility.
- Generate the metrics needed for investor rounds/Series B.
What you'll need:
- 5+ years digital/demand marketing experience for B2C applications
- Aptitude and passion for the cryptocurrency space. A true technology lover
- Top notch quantitative skills are essential - crunching data, managing complex spreadsheets, working with our Project Manager, and discovering insights from numbers.
- Solid demand generation experience, run A/B testing for landing pages and understands what design 'best practices' optimize conversion

- Energetic and motivated to drive results in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Ability to excel at creating marketing strategy and vision and seeing it through to successful execution including a well structured sales funnel and pipeline.
