- Contribute to the design, implementation and running of a high-volume, low-latency, distributed transaction processing systems
- Designing and automating our cloud infrastructure processes
- Review, analyze and recommend solutions and tools to improve the software development process - all while maintaining existing build environments and leading the design and implementation of their replacement
- Work on core infrastructure: Automation, Security, Encryption, Build/Release, Patching
- Hands-on implementation & upgrade of tools for monitoring, trending & diagnostics
- Identify opportunities to improve operations and automation processes.
- Select, deploy, administer and support 3rd party tools as needed, like Jenkins/Jobs/Plugins/Settings and Integration through CI/CD platform
- Guide and develop infrastructure & tools architecture design to enable high uptime, minimize failures, ensure applications & data security and expedite diagnostics.
What's Required:
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- 4+ years relevant work experience in a DevOps, Build/Release, SRE or Infrastructure Engineering position
- Solid grasp of your favorite modern programming languages/frameworks - Use your experience to influence and design the stack
- 1-3 years of experience with Amazon Web Services(AWS) or Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud
- Experienced writing various scripts using languages like Python/Ruby
- Knowledge of best practices related to security, performance, and disaster recovery
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes - Essential
- PostgreSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka experience - Or similar NoSQL database
- Familiarity with Agile, CI/CD, DevOps- Python/Ruby coding experience highly preferred
