Established in 2017 The British Blockchain Association (BBA) is the most powerful voice in the UK blockchain industry. It is a not-for-profit, membership funded, organisation that promotes the comprehensive adoption of Blockchain technology and Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT) across the public and private sectors in the United Kingdom and globally.

 

The BBA is an advocate for both industry and education. It is the leading UK trade association for blockchain and DLT technologies. It is also home to the Journal of British Blockchain Association (JBBA), Europe’s first peer reviewed research journal on Blockchain and DLT ecosystems. The BBA Student Forum is the Student wing of the BBA and is responsible for the voice of Blockchain within Academia.

The BBA promotes the interests of its members through common interest groups and the BBA Executive Committees address industry wide concerns including; Public Good, Policy and Governance; Academic; Marketing and Communications; Banking, Finance & ICO/DLT Start-Ups; and International. Through our efforts the BBA strives to make the UK the leading nation in adoption of Blockchain/DLT to bring tangible, real world impact with economic sustainability.

Our founding members and advisors are internationally recognised thought-leaders and cutting edge organisations drawn from the worlds intersecting the Blockchain/DLT ecosystem. Job Description We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter Social Media intern to be part of the marketing, communications and PR Committee, developing and execute social media plans for the BBA. This will be your opportunity to engage with new and existing customers, creating a conversation and driving more users to our website. This position will report directly to the Marketing Manager but will work strategically with the Director of Marketing as well as collaborating with the other members of the marketing committee. This role is perfect for young, enthusiastic social media enthusiasts who are looking for real world experience and have a passion for learning more about blockchain technologies. The initial duration of this internship is 3-months. What will you do? - You will create content and social media strategies to support the engagement with new and existing customers. - You will be responsible for creating content and awareness that results in; more awareness for the BBA; increased subscriptions to the BBA newsletter; elevation of board members and executive committee member activities; increased awareness towards memberships. - Create and source regular thought leadership pieces from the Team, Advisory Board, Partners and Members. Positioning BBA as an industry leader. - To ensure all of the above activities are actively increasing engagement you will monitor all digital activity including social media statistics, website analytics and e-marketing activity. At this early stage in the beginning of this organization you will be instrumental is driving early awareness and driving memberships (corporate, individual and student) and partnerships. This position will report directly to the Marketing Manager but will work strategically with the Director of Marketing as well as collaborating with the other members of the marketing committee. This role is perfect for young, enthusiastic marketeers who are looking for real world experience and have a passion for learning more about blockchain technologies.
